Will '84 gs750 gas tank fit a 77 gs 750 bike?

Hi...can anyone tell me if a '84 gs750 gas tank fit a 77 gs 750 bike? Also, is there a site that would list which parts fit which bikes.

Nope, and, nope.

The only 750 tanks that will fit a 77 750 without modification are 77-79 gs750 tanks.

In 80 the 750 was re-designed, and nearly NONE of the parts are interchangeable from the earlier models. Completely different engine, frame, etc.

In 83 the 750 was re-designed again, and again, nearly none of the parts are swappable. Different engine, monoshock frame, bodywork was completely changed...etc etc.
So, If you need a tank for your 750, and it's a 77, you're gonna need to stick in the 77-79 range.
