Hopefully it's something nice and simple...

Its fixed. The wire must not have been connected well enough.

Nice! So now it turns on when you turn the ignition on and then flickers off after she's running and the pressure builds up?

I am having an idle issue. It will idle fine then as it warms up it idles gradually moves up to around 4000. I think I have an air leak? One other thing. The holes in the intake for vacuum synching only have the screw in it. I lost one of the brass washers. Could that be it? Thanks!

That definitely screams intake leak, had the same before I replaced my intake boots.

If that gasket is missing it won't help, but may not be the source of the issue. Sort that one first then see what happens...

Really inspect your boots and orings. Although I didn't fight a high idle and barely had even a hanging one, my number 1 boot had cracks in it around the screw to connect the carb tune. I just put brand new boots/orings so I'll bet some of my stuff will be good.

I fixed it. I cleaned the O rings then I flipped the boots over.

Hey guys! I know its been a while. But I did get the bike finished up. New rear turn signal housing and new petcock. Thanks to my local motorcycle junk yard. (Sportwheels if you live in MN) Anyway I took it for a short trip 40 miles and it was running really good. A few idle issues i traced back to an air leak that is now fixed. Anyway I did realize that my battery was not charging. Its the RR I ordered the "Honda" one so I will be taking pictures of that. I am thinking its going to go where the "Tool kit" would go. Anyways the screw that the carb choke lever pivots on rattled out. I must have forgotten to put loc tite on it. Does anyone know what size screw it is? Pic below. Other than that its doing pretty well.

I also got my seat bracket painted.

Well done! Now where's the finished pic's?

Glad to hear you got her going though, feels good don't it?

That screw you're missing from memory is the same size as the ones holding the diaphragm covers on... M5 x 16mm maybe? Could be M4...

I used to have that problem all the time before the rebuild, then I made the bracket so I can use a 'bar mounted lever and I don't need to worry about it any more

Okay. The voltage regulator RR is now in. Here is the pics. Do you guys think the tie straps will hole up the the heat or should I use wire?

Personally I'd make a strap out of some thin steel or aluminium so you can bolt it down securely. The road vibrations can loosen up cable ties even if they're done up tight, especially for something as weighty as a R/R.

                                Just a suggestion anyway...
