      It's Alive

Finally got it to the point I can see if it will run.
I bought the pods before I knew about pods. Started on second try. It idles great a little rough after that. I will tune carbs when I get a sync. Sounds unbelievable. Fixing front brake, new master kit. New petcock, grips.
I'm feeling pretty happy right now.

That is soo impressive, particularly that you started with a bike that others would have passed on or parted. btw you can get the TSCC cass emblems from bike bandit yet.

            Regardless Great Job

Two steps forward- one or two steps back.

I'm very happy with the progress so far but had a set back.
I filled the tank about half full and noticed a little drip on the bottom edge.
Awww C$%^&. GAS. Took the tank off. Ground down the paint. Rust pinholes.
Had to suck it up and seal the tank.

I'm glad they had some on the island at the marine store. Also had pinholes on the other side rear and behind the emblem. I didn't take before pics.

This is outside patch. POR 15 looks great so far.

Carb bowls are leaking.Ordered gaskets. I just overhauled the master cylinder because it was leaking.
I've got 4 days while the tank dries so I started on the seat.

Used the electric knife to trim the foam. Works great.
                Aloha

New mirrors and left hand switch.

I've been tuning the carbs. I know I must be psyco but it was fun!
Figuring out lean-rich, needle height, jet sizes all cool especially when you make progress and now the bike roars! I see a ticket in my future.
                      Final carb settings:
                      Pilot jet 45
                      Main Jet 130
Lowered needles.. yes lowered about 5-6 needle shims- I didn't want to wait for shims so I made my own. I put them on top of the "C" clip.

I don't like the quality of the paint soooo.. I'm doing it over.

I like the way the engine looks. Not changing a thing.

I think the plugs look good at all throttle openings.

                      Aloha
