With the jet kit, modified exhaust and 5% advance the bike has become a bit of a monster compared to the bandit, really good throttle response and it sounds amazing! We only had a few quick rides on it and heaps of bits aren't done up tight (like the handlebars) but it felt pretty animal, so really looking forward to putting it through its paces!

Got some paint on the tank.... It's looking as good as it did before it slammed onto the ground!
Ed got most of the wiring tidied up today, so everything but the indicators are working. Took the wheels of so they can have new tires fitted tomorrow.

Glen got the decals sorted on the freshly painted tank while I got the wheels with new tires back on and sorted out heaps of other little bits. We got it to a stage where we could take it out for a ride... Was awesome (shame it was raining) couldn't really push it, but seemed to handle fine.
Still have to fit the indicators and number plate.... But it's getting close!!!!!!!
Most of the photos I have taken so far are real grainy cause they've been taken at night, I'll try and take some on Saturday during daylight hours.Last edited by Guest; 03-15-2012, 05:08 AM.

That is a sick machine. Did you re-paint the decals on the tail? Didn't it used to say 1100? And now it says 750... Yet it now has a newer 1200 motor... You evil maker of sleeper bikes you!

Cheers guys! When the bike was blue and had no decals on it, people would always come up to me and ask if it was an 1100, when I told them it was a 750 they would turn up their noses and walk away. So, when I painted it black I thought screw those haters, I'm gonna put 1100 stickers on it and the jokes on them!
Now that it's a complete animal 1200 I decided to revert back to the bikes correct 750 decals. Will be interesting to see what all the 1100 drooling tards think now!
One other thing I don't think I've mentioned before is how light this bike is now, its stock weight was 233kg and the bandit was about 215kg (sorry all you yanks, we do kgs down here) the bandit frame was unbelievably heavy compared to the gsx frame, I reckon about 10kg heavier. I haven't weighed it yet, but i reckon it must be under 200kg.

Awesome "sleeper" you have there my friend. Exceptional fit and finish.
I only have one complaint, why the header wrap? To me it makes it look somewhat rough and unfinished (not sure how to explain it). Is it for function of style?
Very nice bike none the less.
