    1977 gs 750

Hey I am new here, and I have been given a 1977 GS 750. One owner since new, only 12k miles and absolutely nothing missing and 100% original. Has been stored under a tarpaulin for 30 years in a very humid climate and there is rust like crazy. Put a scope thru head and even the barrels have rusted. There is nothing (other than the tires and seat and handgrips) that has not rusted bad. Poor photo, and I will take some more - but question - IS THIS WORTH RESTORING?

    No .

Life is too short to ride an L.

I will also say no with a caveat.
If you are deeply attached to this bike and have deep pockets then restore it.

I would sell what is worth selling for parts.

      Bruce.

The add on chrome bits always rust first.
The basic bike still has a fighting chance.
Since it has rust in the cylinders, why not make it an 850?
