Easiest way to tell besides the ignition switch would be the rear master cylinder. 77 had a one year only cylinder with the res mounted to it. Later models had the remote res. those 77 MCs are hard to find generally, and there's no frame boss to mount a remote res.

nice project base . good clean up, coat of paint , sort that seat back to something that doesnt resemble a dead couch and youve got some proper oldskool cool.

Trying to run the vin but pre 81 seems to have issues anyone have an ideas?
