    81 GS250T project

Got a cheap GS250T that I'm planning to get back on the road. Going for some type of flattrack / cafe style eventually. I thought of painting it yellow & blue like an RM250 but I'm a Michigan State grad, so it may be green and white.

Hiya Brad, I'm a bit of a GS twin fan so keen to see where you take this.

Is she a runner or non-runner at present?

Mild runner. She was stored outdoors and had a little rust in one bore, decent compression. Lacks midrange power, but is that just par for the course?

Hmmmm not sure actually... I haven't ridden a GS250 at all, and in fact haven't ridden a 250 since about 1997...

I suspect that would be normal though as my 450 doesn't really get going 'til 4500 - 5000 RPM.

I have one - its fairly linear in power delivery and good for a 250. The 10k+ rpm range she really goes.
