And a tad more today. But tired now. Need rest for a couple of days......

I need to make some spacers and find a proper fitting bearings in the front wheel . I want to use the original axle in the front , otherwise there are so many mods that need to be done and many spacers. I hate spacers Fender seem to sit perfectly with the 17 inch and there is enough room for both the larger rotors and calipers. Only now need to make a bracket that can hold the nissin calipers in the correct place.

bike is coming together nicely but seeing it now those colors look bad together, i would keep the gold and change the orangey color, but it looks great other than that

I still have to polish the front forktubes and the rear swingarm. Then the adjuster on the front forks will be orange as well as the calipers.

I will sonn make better pictures when closer to finish. I hope to finish it next weekend.
Method of installing engine was using thick towels all over engine and on lower rails of frame. Then i positioned a small wheeljack under the frame with a soft woodblock and a towel there too. removed all engine covers before i started. then with a help of a strong armed friend we carefully lifted the engine into frame in 2 steps. I carried it from enginestannd to the bike standing on the lift in correct height end he stood over the other side and we sort of made a four arm forklift to move the engine into place. then he held it while i pushed the rear lower throughbolt in place. with all the towels there was never direct contact. Then we raised it tilting it back until the front frame bolt bracket lined up and after this all was just putting the bolts in place

And yes, it went in without a single scratch

I dont think you would enjoy the low pay and cold winters Also, here is a complete desert when it comes to bike parts. PLenty of bikes and superb roads, but if you want to rebuild anything, you have to get most parts from UK or usa.
