    Rebuild Question

    I've got a 1982 GS1100GZ with an oil leak between the jug and crank case. After tearing it down yesterday, I saw in the repair manual an O ring around the base of each cylinder wall between the base gasket and the crank case. I saw no such O ring after taking off the jug nor do I see any bores where such an O ring would go. I do see two small bores with a triangular O ring on each end of the crank case which goes around each back stud. I just want to be certain I'm not missing anything when putting it all back together. Is there such an O ring around the base of each cylinder between the jug and crank case or just the base gasket and the two triangular o rings?

    I'm sure someone out there has torn down and rebuilt a gs1100. Any help would be appreciated.

      The 1100G models did not use those O-rings.
