Barn Fresh GS1000S Wes Cooley Replica

Here is the next project from Alley Rat Speed Shop....I think we are going to stretch it slam it and rattle can it black...just kidding, we are going to do a retro mod build that will be completely reversible with period after market parts...the paint will remain as it was when we pulled it from the barn with everything else being cleaned and reused....not looking for a complete restro but leave the patina

Mine looked a lot like that one when I first saw it, too. Did it come with the carbs and exhaust? If not, is that why you're taking it in the direction you mentioned? Maybe the addition of the red S on the tail would finish it w/o disturbing the patina..?

You had me there for a second. I thought we were going to have to send in the GSR Special Forces Team and have it show up later in one of nvr2old's threads. "Found this bike on my door step......."

Great ride. Looking forward to the resto.
