Yep they are bar end weights and they are heavy. And yes it's a small vice.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I have not been slacking off. Have been getting some little thing done, such as dipping the carbs and cleaning them up...

I painted the header and pipe...

Thank you Rob for giving me the grinder, a must for cleaning up these little parts for prep for paint...

Continueing to clean up the frame etc while I can get at everything. Coming along nicely...

Question...Anyone have any tips on painting plastic and rubber? This is my rear fender and it looks pretty shabby and I would like to paint it.

Got my stage 3 dyno kit today from Z1 along with my new pods too!

If the plastic fender isnt gouged up too bad try hitting it with WD40, which will clean it and make it shiny. There's paint you can buy for plastic, as in patio furniture, but why risk having it flake on a part that's kind of a pain to get to? Your project is coming along great. All that meticulous work you're doing will really pay off.

yup get some bumper/trim paint and sand down the rough spots a bit and give it a shot

Are you doing a restoration project of some kind on a GS? Let everyone see what you are doing by posting the details here.

or any brand of your choice....

I cleaned the parts- let 'em dry and shot 'em with bumper, trim paint. No sanding, no primer. Easy peasy.

                      Which one did you use?
I love the results that Gatekeeper got.
So VHT is the good stuff?

I went with the dupli-colour I coudn't find the VHT. I should have spent a bit more time sanding as they were pretty rough.

Will sand-able primer and re-shooting fix them?

Yep I think so. I'm not really worked up about it as it's not something that is really seen on the bike and it already looks a ton better. Hey it's a $600 bike

                              Just keep it up.
Pouring large chunks of Kosher Salt into open wounds is not very nice at all.

So, how soon does the 750 become a distant memory anyway?
