Little bit of sanding and painting tonight...this is the inside of the fairing, it was really rough. It's better now but not perfect. My goal here is to get it back together so it is decent to see if I have a good runner or not then this winter, if I'm happy with the bike I will have it professionally painted.
Here is some before and after..

Question guys, I think I will get my seat recovered. Right now each seat is a different shade of blue. I'm not sure what the stock colour was for my bike. I inquired at an upholstery shop and they thought I should match the royal/purpely blue in the tank. I was thinking about just going black as I don't want it looking hokey and also wondering if the black would look better because of the black rubber strips on the tank. Here are some pics of what I have. Thanks for any advice or pics you guys can share.

I think that basic black would look the best also and match the paint scheme too.
They would compliment each other rather than clash like a blue seat would. Yuk!

I was going to say go bold and get it done in some Carbon FX.......
but since it's mostly stock, I am rethinking, probably not....

Just found your thread Trevor. It's making me want to get going again on my 1100g. Polishing things on a buffing wheel can be addicting! I love getting a cheap bike and making it run and shine. Cheers.

Yep you guys are right gonna go with black for the seat. As for what paint I used on the plastic bits, I used dupi-colour bumper paint (can on the right). Here is a pic of a mirror I did last night. I'm also going to use it on the tail peice I bought from a guy in Alberta for 50 bucks! Ouch!
I also have used the Dupli-coluor trim paint with good results. No signature :(

OLDENUFF
Painted my liner with Stippletone because I couldn't get smooth paint to look uniform. I think the PO used a lot of Armorall on it.
