Katman and many others like the bandit 1200 swingarm when doing a gsxr running gear upgrade on the 1100E.

    It takes some modification:

cut off the shock mount as it will hit the battery box. Top hat spacers to get the proper diameter for the pivot arm. Weld on new shock mounts. Figure out the master cylinder location.

GSXR swing arms have been made to work, however some frame modification is needed.

If you want the simplest and most direct bolt on upgrade, simply use a 80-83 1100e swingarm. It is a direct bolt on upgrade for an aluminum swingarm. Only thing you will have to do is slightly mod the chaingard mount if using the 1000 guard or simply use the l1100e guard.

    My 78 with an 82 1100e arm:

the reason for me asking is the gs swing arm is so small and made of steel and the tire that is on the bike is so skinny

does the 1100 e have the same spoke pattern for the tires?
