    1981 GS 1000G rebiuld

I've began rebuilding a GS 1000, first time doing a GS, I owned one before, best bike I ever had. That one came to me in great shape, this one less so. I'm gonna take it to the frame and do a complete rebuild. Any tips?

Yeah. Don't tip it more than a few degrees.

      Label EVERYTHING.
(Use zip-loc bags of various sizes)

Take notes on what you take off.
      Assembly is the reverse order.

      Don't get in a hurry.

      Don't cut corners.

Take lots of pictures for your own reference, feel free to post some of then here.

If you have specific questions, try a search, then ask the question if you don't find an answer.

Make sure you have at least one other bike to ride so you don't get antsy and hurry this one. It will be worth it in the end.

            81 GS 1000 rebuild

Gonna do it right, just slowly for now because my commute is murder. Gonna get a reprieve soon, but I've made a decent start. Not gonna skimp at all on the new parts.
