    Excellent news Wally!

I had the same leak on mine and had to get a new one from Suzuki.

I didn't investigate if an auto shop had something suitable though...

Not much to report - weather has been terrible!

Replaced master cylinder (old one had hairline crack causing it to leak) and saw another leak on caliper...

Traced leak on carbs - not the T, but left float bowl not seating properly on one corner, causing fuel to stream out.

Still some stuff to sort out...

At least you've found the source, and that's probably easier to sort than replacing the T to be honest...

Found some time over the weekend.

Pulled valve cover off to get to the tach drive which was stuck.

Installed the block-off plate (thanx for the tips Pete!)

Pulled calliper off to check where the leak is from and couldn't really figure out.
But I did reckon to repaint while the whole batch is apart (will snap some pics once it is dry and back together).

And maybe, just maybe the leak on the carb is fixed...

Blew and sucked on the fuel hose connected to the carbs and could hear no blowing sound, so the bowls might be sealing...

Otherwise I will have to look for a replacement left-side body and bowl.

Thank you, but in the same way you feel your witnessing lacks, so does mine!

Only by God's grace my friend! And that is all i am thankful for and want to show it.

Looks good Wally, the block off plate makes it nice and neat.

Someone sure did a job on that tacho drive!

Got a 4th carb body and rebuild my left-hand problem body over into the donor carb (floatbowl holes were worn out by PO forcing in self tapping screws, causing the one corner to not seat properly, resulting in fuel streaming out).

Now it runs with no leaks! A bit rough, but it runs!

Front brake still spongy at times, so I have to bleed again.

Next up: installing shifter, adjusting back brakes and dialing in.

                  Than riding!

PS - anybody have some pics of how the shift linkage on the 450 connects up?
Also, where the rear brakelight spring connects to the pedal area?

                  Thanx!

Yay to running with no leaks Wally, good news!

Strap your brake lever back to the 'bar over night and you'll find a nice firm lever in the morning

PM'd you these on the shift linkage as they're the best I have:

If I get some time I'll try to get some shots of the brake light switch hookup, but it's in an awkward spot under there...

Thank you Pete! You are always super generous! I really appreciate it!

My brake light switch works, but I suspect something is installed incorrectly, as the spring keeps popping out when pressing the rear brake lever.

No troubles at all Wally, mostly it's stuff I prepared earlier

The switch setup can be fiddly and annoying for sure, and you really need to have everything adjusted right for it to work properly.

One mistake I made was having the adjustment bolt wound all the way in, meaning my brake pedal had to be lifted and the pivot bit that links the lever to the spring and brake arm was actually rotated too far forward.

That probably makes no sense but best I can describe it... I'm hoping to get into the garage this morning to work something out for my busted rear mudguard, so if I do then hopefully I can get some shots for you.

Hey Wally, no idea if these will help but I'll post them up... if you need different angles or whatever let me know, should be back in the garage tonight finishing my mudguard subframe I hope...

                            They do!

I see my problem! The connecting shft where the brake lever slots onto is facing the wrong way on my bike, forcing the spring to come undone when you step on it.

                            Thanx so much Pete!

I was thinking if it might be that!

I'm still gonna hound you for help on jetting (along with your write-up!).

                            Thanx again!

Too easy Wally, glad they helped!

No dramas on the jetting, ask away... I richened the mixture screws a quarter turn again today... think I must be pretty close now!

Virtually nothing has happened (I am saddened to say...).

I have swapped the rear brake lever bracket thingy around and now the rear brakelight switch works properly. Also got gear shifter installed and figured out i need major clutch adjustment.

Need to adjust rear brake and bleed front brake.

But I am broke right now...

Need new petcock and bike needs a really good tune-up.

But I check the forum everyday!
