Success! After 40 minutes of drilling with a carbite tip bit, I had enough of a mangled, ugly dent in the screw to give a flat-head driver some purchase. A sharp whack with a rubber mallet loosened the screw, and I was able to get it out with needle-nose pliers. So, I've only got the two stuck, headless exhaust bolts to deal with.

    Thanks all for the counsel.

Also flipped the two carb bowls, just for good measure.

I'd recommend a cold chisel to your inventory. They work well when heads of screws and bolts are mangled. A metal-faced hammer against a cold chisel will destroy the object but dig in enough and spin it free.
