Getting there slowly, rebuilt the timing tensioner, adjusted the valves and i'm ready to put on the head cover.
still missing two of the four side cover for the "half moons"
and the decals for the clutch and stator cover (those things are ridiculously expensive - for a decal)

Looking good! Must be getting excited with it so close to being together?

        Little more progress,
I re timed the cams and adjusted the valve clearance (after i understood my mistake of timing according to the |F mark instead of the |T)
i filled little oil in each cam "pocket" and closed the head cover.
since i'm going to use an electronic rev counter, i plugged the cable exit - nice that Suzuki have OEM parts for this.

        Also go some new plugs

This is my under seat tray, where all the electronics should be installed, i'm trying to figure out what would be the best placement for each component.

Nice, I did the same with the tacho plug when I put my Acewell in, very neat.

With my tray under the seat, I put my R/R and starter relay underneath. The extra air flow is good for the R/R and the starter under there makes it a bit easier routing the fat wires for the starter.

It's something I'm considering, but i want to keep a "clean" and hide most of the electrics.
maybe I'll drill some holes for air intake in the tray

after 9 months separated, the engine and frame were united again today
I did it all by myself so managed to scratch the frame a little. but other then that it went well.

I'm not 100% ok with the seat, might take it back for some modifications

Working on wiring...so far all this bundle was removed )probably will remove little more)

I've replaced the R/R with a modern series unit, and will use a small anti gravity battery, will also incorporate relays for the light and coils, and replace the singlr fuse with a modern fuse box

Good stuff mate, in hindsight I really should've taken the time to do up a custom harness, would've made some things so much easier!

If i had unlimited budget i would replace all the bulky handlebar switches with modern minimalistic units

What paint did you use on the engine?

this is a really clean build. you should be proud.

                            Thank you!
It's just a high temp rattle can paint with clear on top. hope it holds up.
I finally had a chance to go back to the upholster that did my seat.
this time he got it right (had to talk it over with him couple of time till he got my idea)
