GS1150 rear end rebuild with a Bandit swingarm and wheel.

I want to run in the 9.50 index (Street Fighter) class with my 85 GS1150. So I happen to have an extra Bandit 1200 extended swingarm and Penske shock. Well it fit nicely and it brought my wheel base out to 66''. I can't wait to try it out. The bike went low 9.70's at 61'' wheel base I am hoping the extra 5'' of wheel base is all I will need to do to run 9.50's with the bike. Anyway I was suprised on how easy the swich was I spent 1/2 day setting it up and then a day fabing up everything one weekend and I have updated the rear of my 85 GS1150 to better suit my needs

Sounds cool. Got any pics? Good to hear you're running 'old school'. I think I am parking my 'Busa this year and going back to one of my old GS's.

I got some pics finally been so busy and my back went out so not much got done on the project but here is where she sits. I got the Bandit rear end all installed. I decided to drill the frame for the larger bandit swingarm bolt and I used the bandit linkage and pivot arm using the center stand brackets for the bottom mount and fab up a top mount from some aluminum flat stock and installed a Penske shock for the same bandit made up some dog bones to set the ride height.
