What motor mounts did you use?

John I reduced the spring tension by using smaller spacers, front end was way too stiff. I haven't ridden it yet. Still have to finish it. That will have to wait now until next winter, weather is picking up so it is riding season.

Gorden I made the motor mounts out of 1/4" aluminum plate. First tried the templates from Old School Suzuki but they sat the motor too far back and I wanted to use the Kerker pipe, So I positioned the motor where I wanted it and fabbed the motor mounts. Lots of trial and error to get it where i wanted it. Will finish the back mounts this winter.

          Cheers

Yes, the 3 spoke 18" wheels are difficult to find
                I like the orange color!
Why not paint the bike in the black and orange HD colors Cal Rayborn had on his bike?
I discovered that Continental now produce high performance tires for 18" wheels.

Great looking conversion! Got me thinking about pulling my wheels when I repaint the tank.

It will end up Tangerine and Black.

Do you have a set of 18" three spokes?

Is the 1987 gsxr1100 3 spokes the same as 88?

The wheels were changed on that 87. ONLY the 88 had 3 spoke, 18 inch wheels. The 86s & 87s had 6 spoke wheels. Ray.

No, the standard mag wheels that came on the 1978 GS750. They are looking their age, so been debating painting them silver or black... But after seeing yours, I may have to paint them metallic burnt orange when I paint the rest of the bike.
