Reviving the GS850G
I have an 81 850G that has sat for 10 years in my garage. I quit riding my bike and remodeled 2 houses, remarried and raised my kids. My wife wants me get rid of, but I want to resurrect the GS I bought brand new still in the crate in 1982. I planned on pouring some penetrating oil in the cylinders just in case the worst happened, clean out the carbs then replace the oil and filter. Are these the steps you would follow or is there a more cautious approach I should take? I did all the maintenance ie. oil chg , tuneup, adj. carbs prior to letting the bike sit for such a long time. Thank you, Art.Tags: None
