    GS550E Custom rebuild

Hi all, she started out as a 1978 GS550E, wasn't really sure what I would do with it, other than get her running and tidy it up, yeah, that idea didn't last long. Before I knew it I was in DEEP!
All sorts of ideas were running through my head, so it went ahead as an evolving project, maybe it will be a cafe racer, maybe a tracker, anyway the main brief was to minimise everything so that it had form and function, good lines and practical everyday ride.
It took about 9 months from the original machine to the finished bike. Its not my first GS, I had a lovely standard 1977 750 a few years ago when I lived in the UK, loved that bike too. I quite please with how this one came out and looking forward to my next project, whatever that will be.
Hope you like it. Pics of the original on the day I bought it, to the how she looks today.

Thanks guys, the majority of major parts from the original are there, frame, engine, forks, tank etc. The only major part that was not, is the wheels, they are GS550, but from a 1977 model, as I wanted the traditional wire wheels.
The front end was lowered by 50mm, just to "balance" it up. everything else was rebuilt, heavily modified GSX-R1100 rearsets. Dyna S ignition.
Oh and I know there is a lot of talk about fitting pod filters, but I have managed to get the fuelling 99% she runs great. They are K&N, so I fitted the best.
