Coming along very nicely.....
I love that sprocket and chain you got going.....
and that phat tyre,,,,,,that is looking great...
I would have loved to put that on my 750, well at least the sprocket and chain, mind you not in blue.....unfortunately I am cheap bugger.....LOL

Nice job on that Dan.. I think I am actually going to cut and weld the bandit stay to keep the caliper parallel with the swingarm although its not really necessary just might look better.

I have full 1/4" of clearance from the B12 stay. With a 130 in the stock set up it was about 1/16", the 130 barely squeezed in. With this set up I am pretty certain you could run a 160 with no issues..

Yes I don't think you'll get more than a 150 in the way I've shown. I used some fairly thick plate as I wanted to make sure it didn't twist....
The other way is to cut the ends off & weld to a custom tube. Not sure about the 700 but the 750 stay was a bit shorter than the other GS's so there *might* be room to put an S bend in a stock stay.1980 GS1000G - Sold

Here is the mod recipe
3.5" 1150 rear wheel
150/70/17 Dunlop GT501
98-02 Bandit brake stay
1150 rear caliper ( the stock caliper works also )
Plug and play, no cutting required, however you may want to shorten the stay for cosmetic purposes only

Wow, that looks really nice. I have the same model bike but mine is a long way from looking like that. how bad was it when you got it? Oh and where did you find the four to one header? I bought one from ebay but it is way too big to fit on any 700 i know of.
