Unfortunately you made your pictures so small I can't see them. Sizing at 800x600 is about the best thing and then putting them on Photobucket allows for us to click on them and view them separately if needed. Can you say what the labeling reads? If they are what I think they are, they'll go on the t's between the carbs.

Can't see the pictures very well, but I can answer your question: the inlet valve is the one that is opened and closed by the float. It is the "fuel inlet" to the carb.

OK, there is only one actual "fuel T", but the o-rings go on the transfer tubes between carbs 1&2 and 3&4, as well as the vent Ts between the same carb pairs.

What is wrong with the ones I have posted? Are the too small? I was posting them with that method then I went back and changed them all to the size they are now because I thought they were too big.

Ok so looking on the fiche shows they are just hose so I apologize for misspeaking when saying they were tubes. Did you get the orings from Robert Barr at cycleorings.com? If so, what we were telling us true for most other sets of BS carbs.

Yes, I got the rings from Robert Barr. So helpful!
And yeah, I thought they were bigger. I posted them the same way as all the other pictures, I don't know why those ones came up smaller.

I got up super early to go buy some stuff and ended up buying a whole lot of stuff!
And now my storage unit is getting too crowded!
But I also got these done. Almost. One of the pieces on the choke bar is backwards so I need to fix that.
Protip: When you buy SS screws from a box, make sure they all look the same. I ended up with a few that have smooth sided heads instead of textured.
also, an interesting note: The fuel hose that connects the carbs doesn't do anything. The holes are solid. I put new hose in there anyway to make it look nice but I'm curious about their function.

The rubber hoses, they go onto what look like tubes built into the body of the carbs but the tubes end at the edge of the carb body that they protrude from.

Sorry, I have been on deployment on a submarine for a while. The tubes I am talking about are the tubes that have rubber hose on them connecting carbs 1&2 and 3&4 in the picture posted by SVSooke and you can see the actual tubes built into the body of the carbs between 2&3 because those don't have a rubber tube connecting them.

I have finally got a shop sorted out and finished my YZ project so now I can dedicate time to the GS. Unfortunately I still don't know exactly what the end product is supposed to be. That won't prevent me from rebuilding the engine though.
So here's the filthy motor that has been sitting for ten+ years. Probably a mess on the inside, right?
Considering that the oil all looked like that milkshake oil on the camshaft journal bearing , this engine looks great!
I dropped some dirt into the bottom end when removing the head gasket. Good thing it's going to get thoroughly cleaned anyway. The cylinders are smooth as silk, no corrosion. All that muck is from outside the motor.
Again, could be worse IMHO.
And just to give y'all an idea of my shop that I am so proud of! There's my YZ 450 in the background that I just got back together and took to the MX track next to my favorite dirt bike ever: KTM 530. Such a great machine.
I'm looking into options on the swing arm and front end. I can't make the old ones work. I hate them too much.
I thought I would be painting the motor but the paint on it looks really good still after you wipe away the grime. So it looks like a crank bearing inspection/possible replacement, rings, valve job, and a lot of cleaning for the engine for now.
