I am still having an issue with idle quality, thought i had it fixed when i did the coil relay mod but it seems to have persisted. It will idle forever at a higher than stock setting, but any lower and it quits pretty quick. Could have sworn right after i did the relay mod a few yrs back it idled perfectly. Now im starting to wonder if this old Dyna 3 is drawing too much power. After a quick search it seems quite a few are having issues with the Dyna systems pulling to much at idle....

Looking good. Have you noticed a big improvement in handling with the modern wheel / tires?sigpic

It Literally feels like a different, 20yr newer bike with the same grumpy engine.
The stiffer forks are a definite improvement.

Nice. Over the last two years, I’ve done the Sonic springs, cartridge emulators, and recently, a Ducati M900 shock.
A definite improvement, but more incremental then a night / day change.sigpic

Nice! Im sure that made a huge difference. I do like the look of the original suspension/wheels better.

I dig the look of the later wheels, but.....
if I had the time and money to tinker, I’d love to try Triumph Trident 900 wheels. They are very similar in looks to the 83 up 1100 wheels, available in modern sizes, and look to be lighter due to the hollow hubs.sigpic

This is coming along great! I stopped by your place a long time ago when you were selling a few items. If you have trouble getting it fine tuned and want it right, its not cheap but Mike over at Hypersports in Blaine? has a dyno and shop and is very familiar with GS's and all mod bikes. He did my stock GS1100 with GSXR carbs and it turned out like fuel injection perfect. He also did my Speed Triple, ZRX and Triumph Sprint. If you want to do it yourself I understand its very gratifying!Current Rides: 82 GS1100E, 00 Triumph 955 Speed Triple:twistedevil:, 03 Kawasaki ZRX1200, 01 Honda GL1800, '15 Kawasaki 1000 Versys
