I will be painting the engine Pete. It will need lots of degreaser, some sanding then paint. At the moment it is like a flat black / grey colour. Will be going all black with some silver / chrome highlights.

I'll get the frame and bits and pieces done before I tackle the engine.

One tip with the engine... if you can get it blasted rather than hand sanding then do so.

I hand sanded mine and there are so many nooks and crannies you just can't get into and my paint shows it. There are spots here and there where the paint has lifted and it's all those little spots I had trouble getting into with the sandpaper.

High temp paint needs pretty spot on prep to adhere properly or else it will start lifting/peeling like mine has in places.
