          Bluesmoke, you've got some skills

Most people can't straighten out that thin metal on the gas tank

I can't help but notice that the bike has a 78 tail on it. Is the choke a lever on the left side of the carb?

Yes the choke is on the left side. The bike is a 1978 gs 1000 with an 1100E tank I believe.

Fork ear I got where to narrow for my head light bucket, plus it is cracked in two spots. I thing I am going with this one I had laying around.

Hooked up cables but no lights until I decide if I want stock gauges or aftermarket gauges.
