Love that sound.
What is the motor plan for next year?
But, seeing as how this engine has more to come i might stay with it till i find it's limits. I'll strip it over the winter and see what shape it's in.

But if your riding a GS1100 in town you probably got lost or your unfortunate enough to live in one.Last edited by Guest; 11-04-2015, 01:00 PM.

Wow, great build! Can you elaborate on what filler rods you used?
I have acquired a bronze welded '77 Rickman CR900 frame that was a cracked race bike, repaired and much more substantially braced by previous owner John Cordona of Fours 'N More fame (many of his builds were featured in magazines in the 80's), & modified with GS1100E engine mounts... he unfortunately passed away before finishing this project, & it has been sitting in his friends' shop in storage for around 15 years or more now... I plan to build a vintage road racer oriented bike out of it, but need to finish the engine mount work and gussetting.
How's the new engine or old engine upgrade going? That is a very fast machine... great job on the feame, and everything!'77 GS750 920cc heavily modded

Engine upgrade may wait until i've reached the limits of this one. I'll see in the new year which way i fancy going with it - the parts are sat here waiting.... tempting me, but it does seem to be going great as it is!

A good way to keep track of your trials and tribulations.
The blog came first though - been doing that since 2007 when i first bought a dragbike.

Dredging up an old post alert
I don't come in here often but wanted to add a little update to this post. Basically, since the last update the bikes remained exactly as i built it, and has run almost flawlessly throughout the 2016 season, up until the final round when the magnet in the ignition rotor/pickup fell out mid race. It's been a very successful season for a new bike, winning all but one national event this year and winning the ACU (British) Funnybike
championship. Not bad for a shed built 35year old engine!
Best Time is now a 7.13
Best mph is 186
Best 60ft is a 1.05
More to come i feel.
Take a ride with us....
