    Needed a project, GSX750F

Bought this on a whim, 1995 GSX750 Katana - know nothing about these "modern" bikes (compared to my '81 1100)...

Not running, carbs off, broken windshield. I decided it needed my help so I pushed her into the bed of my buddy's pickup & drove her home in the rain.

I've been searching for an OEM service manual for 1995 GSX750F (air-cooled), anyone know where I could download a free one?
If someone out there has any advice or stories about these bikes let me know.

The pic is from the CL ad.

I had one of these last year...

The finish isn't great on them and on mine the electrics were a bit of a mess from the previous owner. The indicator relay had water ingress and turned to a lump of rust.
If the plug caps have't got their rubber boots on, the plug wells can fill with rain water causing a misfire.

The front brakes have full floating rotors and can be expensive to replace. (same as 600 bandit though) Check the rivets.
Also the front callipers are in two halves the though the inners are handed they are also interchangeable. make sure all the bleed nipples are in the right place.

Apart from those minor issues it was a good bike (though not my style) and really quick for an old 750. Not surprising as they are a GSX-R motor with slightly softer cams (there's a mod for you!)

I have a manual for it but it's a huge pdf file and too big to email.
I will send the wiring diagram and parts fiche.

Check out katriders.com. Post asking for a manual, and someone will link you to the page.

That's where I get all my information. Those carbs are a royal pain if not cleaned correctly.

I have the 1100 version, and the carbs have been my downfall. They also don't like the ethanol fuels of today. Try to find a local place with 100% pure gas.

      Good luck!

That is one of the bikes I hope my mystery Katana is.Had a thread on it but it looks like it was lost in the hosting move.Joined Katriders while GSR was down but joining Friday evening probably means I won't get a mod to "approve" me before Monday
