    Help i did something bad

Well long story short i stripped one of the studs that hold the oil filter cap on.

i pull the stud out and were would be a good place to look for a new stud.

    It is on a 78 gs1000

i suggest drilling it out and replace it?

its screwed in, so it may require heating the remaining part of the stud.. is there still some part of it left, or is it flush with the block..

The entire stud is still there with 75%of the thread good but the end of the studs threads are smooth

Grab it with a good strong pair of vice grips. I've had very good luck with this method.

is it possible to put 2 nuts on and twist it out, or weld a nut on and then try to remove it..

Hit it with some penetrating oil, and let it sit a while before you start cranking on it too hard. You really don't want to snap this stud off in the engine.

If we had at least a slight clue where YOU are, we could make better recommendations.
