    Engine swap advice needed.

    Hi guys.
    I have a Gs750 1978 with an 87 Gsxr engine in it.
I´d like to have a gsx 750 engine instead, does it bolt right on the Gs 750 frame?..

    Love and Best Regards

Yes it will fit right in there the same as the GSXR 750 motor. But make sure you use the 750 motor with the Dot head or it won't give you any improvement over the older Gixxer 750 motor.

Why would you want to go back to an air cooled engine when you already have a BETTER engine now? I don't get this one. The 83 750 is a good engine but a dog compared to the GSXR engine.

Wow, one of the rare occasions where Ray and I agree!

The entire bike is frankenized and looks to be reasonably sorted.

The frame may have been modified to squeeze in that GSXR engine anyway.

              Hi Guys.
Well, i only wanna change the engine, because my insurrance wont cover me. It is illegal
to add more then 20% horsepower, on a motorcycle in my country. You can get it on the road, but I the letters of the law, its illegal. And i´m getting older, so if something should happen to me, it would be a shame if my healt insurrance was lost..<if i survived

The Engine is mounted with custom made brackets, no wielding on the frame besides mono shock and footpeg bracket

So you can buy a new R1 with 200 hp but can't add 20% more hp to a 70 hp 80s classic. Makes perfect sense.

I can understand putting up with the Nanny state for a few years to enjoy the warm weather and California beaches but clinging to the cold and snow while being abused makes no sense. Run Forest Run.

Said it before and people think I'm nuts, but once driverless cars get deployed you won't be able to insure humans any longer. So, Enjoy the past its almost over.
                  Wow! Epic post! Well stated!

Actually it is perfectly legal to "tune" original engines as much as you want, only forbidden to swap engine with more then 20%hp.Or 20% Ccm.(So if any of you guys have a gs750 tuned gem, stoffed under your pillow let me know)
And i Love "My Nanny state" I´ve got free health care/hospital, free university´s, free kindergardes/School,Medicin and so on. Nothing that the "Nanny state" provides will cost the private person money(almost)..I pay my 50% tax Gladly!..Weather...yaa, guess that it could be better...But we get the best for all 4 weather season´s..Love that too, who needs sommer all year

Since the GSX and GSX-R motors are almost indentical in appearance, why not tell them it's a GSX motor?

                            BIG T.

Because if i get in an accident, insurance or the state will send an inspector, that will analyse why the accident happened and vehicle conditions. = No insurance coverage
