Lots of nice work there. Are those grips really as giant as they look?

I've owned many bikes and I will say. These grips are the best I've ever owed

Very nice job. Wondering if you are going to run a mechanical tach? If not you are OK, but the silicone valve cover gasket may destroy the tach gear with the extra thickness. I am not a big cafe fan but that looks good, and should be faster and handle better than stock.

I am so jealous of people with wiring/electrical skills.
Some nice bits on your build, although i am sure Mr. Ohlins is rolling in his grave. haha.
I like the textured finish on the swingarm. Not too textured.

im going to run a 4 inch speed hut gauge

wiring is much easier than figureing out carbs
the M unit makes it so easy

Great build! Looks like we are building a very similar bike hahaha. You should consider moving the voltage regulator to the underside for better cooling.

As much as I generally dislike cafe'd bikes, yours is beautiful and an impressive build!

                        Thanks guys
as far as cooking the regulator
I have cooking guides under the gas tank to direct are to the regulator
                        I'll keep posting pics
the electronics are my favorite the m lock is awesome the keyed ignition is hidden under the tail
it's a proximity based key fob
the blinkers also shut off by them selves after 10 seconds
I'm glad u guys like it
i reallllly want a Gsxr swap or a 1100 swap

Lots of really nice work here!

However, looks like your rearsets are relying on the bent U section with threaded holes? Does not look like a lot of thread for strength. Am I looking at it correctly or is there more thread than the U section thickness?

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

i actually welded in pieces of metal stock so i was going through 2 pieces of metal rather than one piece

the rear sets are woodcraft off a 2005 gsxr

Looks like a very nice project.
However dear Lad, some of our serious restorers will be disappointed that you posted so much progress in just a short time.
Seems like the thing to do here is; drag the project out for years , with many-many tedious photos of every individual nut and bolt painstakingly polished and restored. Never finishing the damn bike, no hurry for a test ride and tuning.
