Are you using a hosting service for your pictures?

If photobucket, copy the "Direct" image and uncheck the box when posting the link.

The system turns the pictures the correct way up.

BTW nice job on the bike, and VHT is my favourite paint, I use SP127 on the engine (Universal Aluminum) and use a couple of heat cycles to cure it.

    Regards,

    David

I took a black and gold emblem and polished the gold back to the raw aluminum and got the black background with silver SUZUKI, not perfect but it works.

These are the ones off the bike and is what I was hoping to get but these are the ones that Parts Outlaw shipped. (top ones in the picture)

Here's the gold & black one I got and I polished it out to get this, I should have masked it before polishing as I lost a bit of the black around the edges.

The ones posted above Black and Silver are not available anymore, there is a company in the UK that sell a decal that is printed on vinyl and it looks good, but not the same as the real deal.

It's a new type of invisible fastener that I got from McMaster Carr.

No Hex on these, I only use JIS.

Thanks for the info. Looks like more time polishing......ugh! This OCD does not help with a total rebuild! I may never get finished!

That's why I'm hesitant to start. That first chip or scratch will only break my heart.

Got a little work done this morning.

Got the sprocket cover, clutch adjuster cover, shifter and one footpeg on this morning. Also got the chain on and adjusted. It's a slow process but every little bit helps!

Ill be riding down in your area (McGee) at the end of the month. Looking forward to it. Your bike is coming along very nice! Ocd sucks. Instead of how they look, I. Worry about how they handle, brake and drive. Refocused my Ocd...

                    Slowly getting it back together!!!

Made a little more progress this week. Got my new Daytona handlebars mounted and started on getting the wiring back in place. Maybe.......Just maybe .....there might be some light at the end of the tunnel. At least I can roll it in and out of the garage now! That's progress I guess.

Got a suprise with some stock mufflers.....

Had a set of stock mufflers off of my parts bike and I thought "why not see if they will clean up." Looks like they will be OK with a little polishing! Here is a pic of them partially polished.

Got the clutch cover and airbox back on yesterday. Man the little parts are a pain to get cleaned up or polished! Hope to have it running by July 4th. Decided to wait on painting the tank until later this year since I have 2 tanks. I'm going to get it back on the road and take my time painting one of the tanks. I sure miss riding this baby!

Got a little more done this week. Cleaning up a 39 year old exhaust system is a pain in the rear! Noticed that I had a rear brake bleeder leaking. Had to get one off the parts bike to fix that! Hope to have the exhaust finished in a couple of weeks after I get back from vacation, and before starting a new job.

Still looking for someone to put the new seat cover on the pan. Thinking of going with a memory foam padding. Anyone used it? How does it feel?

Will possibly have a parts bike for sale, "IF" this one ever gets finished! Still undecided if I want to take the time and money to get it running before I sell it.

You don't by any chance have a spare front brake lever/master cylinder assembly do you?

I have a mostly complete parts bike, but I'm undecided if I want to get it running. At any rate, I'm not going to part it out, I'll sell it whole (running or not) after I get this one completed. Sorry. You may want to try my buddy's bike salvage yard. Greens Motorcycle Salvage in Millwood, KY. He told me a month or so ago that he had 2 old late 70's GS750's in one of his fields.
