    Finally have an exhaust system!

Finally got the original exhaust cleaned up and installed. What a pain in the rear that was. It's not perfect by any stretch, but passes the 10 ft. test!

Now just got to get one of the front brake calipers rebuilt. I hope the parts bike has a good brake piston in one of the calipers!

When I die, just cremate me and put me in my GS tank. That way I can go through these carbs, one more time!https://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/core/images/smilies/cool.png

Got the chain guard painted and back on this morning. Wish the sticker was in better shape, but it will do for now.

Now to tackle the seat cover!

Getting really close to the finish!

Got a few more things done this week since I am on vacation. Still have a few little odds and ends to finish up. Still have the seat trim, ignition cover, stator cover and the seat latch to finish before I can start nit-picking all the little things that bug me! It's nice to finally see some light at the end of the tunnel!

"REAL" close to having it completed.

Got a few more things done this morning. Finally got the gasket for the ignition cover and installed the seat trim. Still waiting on a petcock, then it's time to enjoy it before I paint it this winter. Getting tired of running in-town errands on the Harley!

                What a beauty!
Amazing how much more complete it looks by just adding the seat strap.

Finally finished! Well maybe for now......

Finally got the bike back on the road! As I stated in an earlier post, I'm going to wait until this fall to paint the tank and cowl. So far I have about 25 miles on her. Cannot believe how much fun this old bike is to ride! Takes me back to the one that I bought in 1980 that was exactly like this one. So far, everything is working like it should.

Still have a stator cover to polish so that I have the correct emblem on it. Otherwise, I'm gonna put some miles on her and see how long it takes to convince me to start on it's brother sitting in the garage!
