    Gs1000

I just bought a 1978 GS1000E. It needs a lot of work. Body parts, exhaust, engine work. Where do I begin? I am checking eBay but there must be other sources for parts. Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks

    Welcome to the site, Hango.
Have a look here for repair manuals and lots of info on your bike.

Best place/way to look for parts is to post in the "parts wanted" forum of this site.

Cheap Cycle Parts or Bike Bandit they all have OEM or NOS parts

I'd also look on craigslist in surrounding areas, nothing beats a deal on a parts bike for the price and what you get compared to the sites mentioned above.

I'd start with the engine first

        Welcome to GSR Hango,

I use Parts Outlaw, (Deland in Florida) they have the most competitive prices in my experience, use promo shipping code "BANG" and get $1.50 shipping.

Shop our large selection of 1978 Suzuki GS1000EN OEM Parts, original equipment manufacturer parts and more online or call at 386-740-2452

For parts not available from Suzuki either this site or ebay, watch ebay prices though, many parts that are still available from Suzuki are for sale used for double or triple the new price.

        Good luck.
