    GS 1150 front wheel swap

Does anyone out there know of a 18" or 17" front wheel that can replace the 16" stock front wheel on my 1985 GS 1150? Apparently there are no modern radial tires available for the stock 16" front wheel, I have a radial rear tire and want one on the front also.
My next step will be to compare my front wheel with other wheels but if someone has already been thru this that will be very helpful. Thanks Art

17" and 18" wheel conversion are popular for the 1150 because the forks are wide enough to accommodate either. The 18" gsxr 1100 86-87 will match your stock wheels but allow a brake upgrade.

Depending on your expectations, I may be able to help with the fairing. I have two I've been hoarding.
One is from an 84 in blue. It has some minor damage with a small crack at the leading edge of the handlebar "cutout", and some minor dings, scratches, etc. There is a GM rattle can paint that is a darn near perfect match if you chose to repair it. The other is painted silver and poorly with lines from the original stripes that were painted over. It appears to be fully intact with no damage. I have a mounting bracket set, but CAN'T guarantee that it's straight, plus the bracket that mounts to the steering head came to me with a welded repair. In my experience ,that bracket is a weak spot on these, and i just repaired the one im using. Headlight available also if needed. I also have the inside cover panel. Its weathered and the black has gone to that ugly grayish color.

Shipping will likely hurt as I'm in NJ. Let me know if your interested. I can provide pictures, etc.

Edit..... I'm not sure how familiar you are with the 1150. The mid panels below the main fairing are separate parts. I don't have any of those panels or brackets to spare.
