    Project Ladybug

Ok my wife nicknamed my 1983 GS1100E Ladybug....

Bought the bike as pictured with PM wheels, rotors, calipers,...

Just took the clutch cover off and wow - straight cut gears!!!

Someone really loved this bike back in the day.

I'm on a mission to bring back to its glory!!! If anyone knows the history of this specific bike out of Florida pls contact me.

Well heeeelllooo lady (bug). Looks like some tasty mods.

Are the front brakes adapted from another bike or completely aftermarket?

          Edit..
Oops, I see PM brakes listed as well.

            Score!

            Lots of goodies there!
1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head
1983 Gs1100ESD, rebuild finished! Body paintwork happening winter 2017

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

I haven't seen a set of those Chicane wheels from PM for a while.
The vintage road racers were using them for the weight savings.
What carbs came with this brute?

Old set of RS36, but I've gone a little crazy and bought new RS36, new KN filters, new Dyna coils, new side covers (need painting), new PM calipers, and new stainless steel brake lines. Also been hoarding some other parts like a Grimeca master cylinder and Yoshimura header. Hoping to get her running this weekend. I'll take some updated pics and post Sunday night. I'm looking for new OEM 1983 clutch plates, both types. I here 83 plates thinner so it could hold a couple more plates? Also heavy duty clutch springs. Thanks for the encouragement!

I have some very nice, barely used GS1100 friction and steel plates if your interested. I live just up the road in Jax, Fl. Just measured them, they are exactly 3mm (frictions). I have 9 of each.....Billy
