He gave me the wrong title, he gave me an 850 title, I still have the one he gave me. No matter, I only bought it for the engine. A buddy of mine is going to take the frame and customize it when I’m done. What was the mileage, looking at the top end I’m going to guess not much mileage.

I have extra parts to convert it if I needed to.

Im just glad that i didn't waste my time saving that bike from the barn. It was going to the scrap yard just like my red 1000g was. Actually it came from the same place.. i just did a 10 minute hack job and wired up the ignition to hear it run. Was gonna built that motor for my old bike. But my buddy leon wanted it so he gave me a months free rent for it. Then he traded it for a turbo to the guy that the op bought it from.
Could he have layered anymore black spray paint on the engine lol.

Pffft, no problem. Not my first rodeo on that one. Even if I have to extract it I have a spare.

it was left at a shop because after a while of riding it would start blowing pressurized oil from the side covers, i removed the pcv cover thing and turnd out it was clogged up. it quit doing it after

Not uncommon. I was surprised at the compression. I was expecting to have to rebuild it. Blow by test on valves was good, sealed good against the seats. I’m curious as to what it looks like under that paint. Vapor blasting being done after thanksgiving. Having the engine and the rims blasted. Carbs going in ultrasonic cleaner this weekend. Going to polish them up after as well. Might as well put in some new cam end head plugs as well lol.

Well, whoever did the carb rebuild/clean last on that 1000 needs to be taken out and shot. 1 and 3 carbs float arms broken. The broken piece was in the float bowl when I took them apart. Looks like I’m just going to buy a new set.
