Looking good.
Brandon, keep that up, it will end up looking as shiny as my wife's bike.

I have always liked the black and chrome look on the engine, so I painted hers. After doing that, I learned that Suzuki did it on the '83 (and newer) bikes, so I didn't feel too bad about doing it. I have since done my '80 850 and will soon be doing my son's '80 1000G.

at this moment i realized i now have to polish and maintain every single piece of exposed aluminum... i wasnt going for a mirror finish, so i think this should be perfect!

It's an addiction for sure. Just last week I ran out of things to polish on the bike, so I started in on the the house hardware...door knobs, coat hooks, toilet paper holder. My wife finally stopped me when I was halfway through putting a mirror finish on our stainless steel dishwasher. I'll finish it up and then hit the fridge while she's at the gym tomorrow.

clip ons by Brandon Hobock, on Flickr
ordered these clip ons after i told my self "self, just get normal bars..." i just couldnt listen.. sorry self..
so theyll actually sit a little higher (like 3/4 of an inch) than the clip ons that were on my last one. that bike was super comfortable, for me at least. these are about 3 inches higher than the sh!tman bars i have now. but still rather aggressive. will be here sat but wont install probably till tuesday or later
