    Big project ! First timer

    Hi ! Picked up this 1983 gs750es yesterday , just paid 30usd för it :-) . My biggest concern is to figure out all the wiring , But i just downloaded a servicemanual for it . Going to be a funny project for me and My sons :-) i hope i can figure it all out . Iam aning for a bobberish style

    Since it's your first bike, I'll give you a piece of advice that's been stated here often.

    Get the bike running and functioning before you start modifying it.

    Not doing so has been the downfall of many people.
    1978 GS 1000 (since new)
    1979 GS 1000 (The Fridge, superbike replica project)
    1978 GS 1000 (parts)
    1981 GS 850 (anyone want a project?)
    1981 GPZ 550 (backroad screamer)
    1970 450 Mk IIID (THUMP!)
    2007 DRz 400S
    1999 ATK 490ES
    1994 DR 350SES

      Yes Absolutly , Iam getting the electric Done First and then i will try to start it up , is there something that use to be wrong with this bikes ? I have build other bikes But not any gsx . I would love if someone have pictures from makes bike so i can see all the wiring . Sorry for bad english , Iam from sweden 😂

        So did the bike come like that or have you already hacked off the subframe?
        Current:
        Z1300A5 Locomotive (swapped my Intruder for it), GS450 Cafe Project (might never finish it....), XT500 Commuter (I know - it's a Yamaha :eek:)

        Past:
        VL1500 Intruder (swapped for Z1300), ZX9R Streetfighter (lets face it - too fast....), 1984 GSX750EF, 1984 GSX1100EF (AKA GS1150)
        And a bunch of other crap Yamahas....

            Welcome to the site, Jimmy.
            Bike projects done with the kids is a great way to spend time together.
            Wiring diagram, repair manuals and many other tips can be found here.

              Thank you ! Yeah ! Found servicemanual yesterday so i git wiring diagram :-) the only thing i havnt find yet is Where this cables are going

                  Sorry - those pics are too small for me to make out what wires they are.
                  Current:
