The TruckLite gen 7 lamp isn't all gimmicky-looking like the H-D lightJWSpeaker, etc. It looks just fine on a vintage bike, IMHO. But not stock. It looks more like a hole than a vintage lamp. The vintage lamp has all the little pillow lenses that none of the LED lamps have. Personally, the increase in functionality is what I was after. Better, more reliable lighting.

I'm not knocking your choice, I just don't care for the look. To each their own. As long as you like it, that's all that really matters.

I have not ridden with a Daymaker, but have seen some comparison tests where they appear to do a great job of lighting up the road ahead. I do agree that they look too "different" on a vintage machine, but I'm still thinking they look a bit too "different" on a modern machine, too. Oh, wait, the "modern" machine they come on is a Harley.

I do have Truck Lites in all three of our bikes. They don't look quite so "different" and are certainly more affordable. Or, at least they were when I was shopping for lights. I just did a search on eBay and Amazon, and the choices for "Harley Daymaker" headlights is just about as confusing as trying to find a genuine SH775 R/R.

Can't tell from your picture, do you have the model that has angled lights that shine around the curves?
