1979 GS750 Bobber build
So as the title says , I plan on building my GS750 into a Bobber . I just picked up this very well used bike last week and with my daughter we will be making it road worthy over the summer . The bike needs a lot of work but on the plus side the engine still runs good . It has the air box removed with individual mini air filters on each carb . Not sure if I will keep those or go back to stock . But everything else in the drivetrain will remain untouched other than fluid exchanges . I am thinking of just sticking with stock type mufflers . For now at least . The bike has no fenders , no mufflers , no seat , and questionable wiring . I will be completely replacing the wiring by redoing it all myself (I'm an automotive mechanic that specializes in electrical diagnostics) . We may shorten the frame in the back for a new saddle style seat to fit properly , which may mean we relocate the shock mounts inwards a bit . At this point this is just our rough plans . I know they will change as the project progresses . Looking forward to this .CF9B3D4C-5E7D-4543-AEFA-88DE3563B0CC.jpgTags: None

This is what I'm thinking , and why I want to leave the drivetrain as it is . Later down the road when I'm more comfortable with the bike I might think of upgrades .

Okay , update time . I have picked up a bunch of new and used parts . Also picked up a bike jack . We have a clearer idea of how we are going to proceed . Picked up some fenders which I have cut down , as we just want minimal fenders on it . We have colours picked out . Frame is staying black . Fenders , tank , and wheel spokes going bronze . Tires are going to be replaced as they are just old , so I am going with whitewalls . I have seen way too many people go all black on these bikes so I want that bronze to stand out .

What white walls? There is a front that fits your bike but I'm unaware of a rear.
BTW, Harley mufflers are a popular add on and usually can be had cheap.Ed
