Update on the 650 chopper. After a lot of thinking and spending some time out in the garage looking at the bike, there is a change of direction. I think maybe a resto mod instead. Nothing as back breaking as my 550 was. Nice set of daytona bars with a quarter fairing, 4 into 1 with some updated suspension and a unique paint scheme. Yepper, I do believe I will wait on the chopper. I think a nice comfortable twisty capable cruiser instead.

Update on the aborted chopper build. Here is the first mockup of the front end. It is from a 1995vn750 vulcan. Bearings match, but the stem is about a half inch to long. Got out my hillbilly milling machine got everything in nice and tight. still need to tap the top of the stem and cut it off but this proved to be pretty painless all in all. I will post pics of the work once I get the top tree set.20191005_170248_resized.jpg
