From 78c to 79s clone

Never thought you'd try to do that, being a clone just figured paint inside dark grey or black. Doing what you're thinking, for me, would be a really big biggy, I wouldn't have a clue.

I could easily mask it off and paint the inside black. I gotta take fairing off anyway so thats not a bads idea. Just black it out and let everything blend itself in

The backside of the fairing is not supposed to be finished, per se, but then again, it's not supposed to be red or blue, it's typically, more white, with some light overspray.

It was like that. I had a gun full of paint and used it. Im liking te black it out suggestion. Also the real dash covered it all up so they didnt have a need to paint inside.

I've painted the inside of all 8 S models and every fairing I've done in the past. A satin black finish looks so much better then the factory over spray. Masking the rolled edge around the fairing gives it a nice finished look. Suzuki didn't have time to do it on the assembly line, but if they had seen one painted black on the inside, I'll bet they would've been embarrassed with the way they left it.

Took a day to swap out the bars. I bought that set from dime city cycles someone posted on the other thread. I also took off the fairing and masked everything off and blacked out the interior surface to blend the dash and mounting brackets into it. Havent mounted it yet as i need to find a front master cylinder so i have brakes. See my wanted parts post for more information ob the subject. I am oh so close to finally being able to ride the darn thing!!!!

Just ordered black button head (allen head style ) bolts for the final mounting hrdwar for te fairing. Should accent against the white paint nicely in my opinion.

Today i got the front fork seals done. Left fork actually had some water come out of it. Then i troubleshot the leaking rear caliper which a new piston seal quickly fixed. Now i need to measure the petcock bolt holes on the tank and find a petcock.

Today i got the 100 mains installed and it seemed to cure the ever so slight stumble. The Henry Abe breadbox filter needed a ittle extra boost i guess. That and the 4 into 1 pipe needed tweaked Also did the colortune. Then i had to put some of those pressed on retainers on the seat trim and put the seat on the bike. I bailed at 2 before i had a heat stroke!!! Seems weird wrenching on my own bike for a change.BUT next weekend i should have all the parts ive ordered for the 2 customers bikes so will take a victory however small it may be.

Ran over to home depot after work and got some CSS Examples BONDED SEALING WASHERS for the petcock bolts. Way cheaper than the factory gaskets. Just have to take metal shears and snip a bit off to make a flat spot the will let them slide up the tap with some clearance.. ad teyre much beefier than factoy dowty washers are

Brought her home. Soon as i get the petcock issue to my satisfaction i can ride it. Still need to get the chain guard on also

Rode it for first time today. Gotta tweak the controls and bars to where theyre more comfy and reset the rear brake pedal lower. Also ordered an S model clutch cable because the C model one too long,

rob, I can plainly see that new appearing beautiful "S" cruising by and getting me all excited right now. I can even see that clutch cable being looped way out front as it's too long for the lower bars... I hope those birthdays aren't taking your imagination away... Though the real life pictures are going to be great.
