    My '77 GS710...

I thought I had some posts on this but '20 wasn't a good year for my right knee.

So, back story. Shoved a GS1000 into a 750 frame and mated them to 2002 GSXR suspension.

Just grafted the rear on over the weekend.

I guess the GS resources doesn't have enough resources for the pictures.

Oh well, some other time then

Would very much like to see some pictures

I use https://www.flickr.com/ too. It's very easy to use, and there's a good app for uploading pictures from your phone

Here is the girl after finishing the suspension and loop welding. She will sit pretty close to this.
Once running, I will see how far she squats under hard acceleration and adjust from there.
I purchased her in the summer of '19 and we've gone a long way since then.
More to come. I am putting back together my 93 ZX11 and memorial weekend is set aside for my RAV4 oil pump replacement.
So it'll be a couple of weeks before I will share more updates.

Just thought I would come on and update the status of my 710...
I have most of the welding out of the way. As seen in the pic, foot pegs, rear shock, battery tray and the rear loops.
Mocking of the shifter linkage. Need a longer rod (don't say it LOL)
But she's coming together. Goal is Biketoberfest... we'll see.

I was going to share a picture. GS Resources says no!

            Maybe next time...

One of the many reasons I needed to take her apart. I need to solve the upper rear motor mount issue. Because the sprocket needed to clear the GSXR wheel/tire combo, the chain hits the lower bolt, for the engine bracket. The ones that come through the frame. Also, you have a large spacer in between the engine and bracket. I solved it be moving the left upper mount inboard. This clears the chain and allows for an additional cross member to stiffen that section of frame. I forgot to grab some additional pics of the relocated left lower engine mount. The bracket for the right lower engine mount and the custom front upper engine mount. The GS1000 uses bent mount, the 750 uses a straight. Neither work correctly so I made my own...

I am just bumping this up to catch everyone up. Been a minute or two LOL. However, this build has taken a backseat to some medical issues and another build. I bought a GS750 in '19 that unknown to me and the owner I purchased it from, had 2 stripped out cam cover bolts. Well these caused the other 2 to break. When ordering the needed parts, the gasket kit looked like a pretzel upon arrival. While waiting for this fleabay seller to replace it, I found a GS1000 engine and then I decided to build a 710. Once I realized I was running out of room, I found a frame, gathered up the leftovers and rebuilt the 750... During the cylinder head replacement I discovered that I have a 4mm overbore. I have since gotten this engine running and the bike rideable. Further tuning is needed. The original airbox is under contruction :-)

Not sure if I can post a video here but she sure sounds sexy. The exhaust is shortened from the below picture and I realized I didn't have an actually pic of it.

Those cam cover bolt holes are prime candidates for Heli-Coil inserts. 2 of mine stripped, I did the whole top and have never regretted it.

I use XNView MP to load pictures. It removes all meta data and allows you to post a large picture than takes of much less data.

It's completely free, and on a forum I run, we allow 10 pictures per post, but they must be loaded directly to the forum. The forum is extremely visual, but it cost a lot of money to increase memory size. Most of the members use this program. I have used it for around 20 years, it's probably one of the best photo manipulation programs out there short of Photoshop. They only charge for commercial use, scroll down and you will find the "exe." program for the software you run. I post some pretty big pictures onto this forum.

XnView, one of the best and popular image viewer. It allows you to view, manage, resize and edit your photos.
