Did a few race track laps on the old CBR in road configuration and it went surprisingly well

Seriously, sidehacks have the weight to the outside to keep the bike planted. If it was inside the bike wouldn't turn.

Because Australia & New Zealand drive on the left, sidecars are on the left of the bike here.
When sidecar speedway started this meant we went clockwise although all the other speedway classes go anticlockwise...And, yes, sidecar racers are "different"
I believe it's even more confusing in the UK - the thousands go clockwise but there's a 500 class which goes anticlock...
I've had a number of local sidecar guys as engine customers over the years and I've determinedly resisted all invitations to have a ride...

Heres a pic of my GS1000 (1260cc) dragbike. I was ranked #3 nationally with IDBA in Super Comp...8:60 index. If you look closely you can see the fuel (it's blue) in the carb bowls, is vertical......60 foot times probably average around 1.27 seconds....Bike ran a best of 8.20 seconds at 158.85 MPH at Gainesville, my home track.....1/8th mile time on that pass was 5.14 seconds...Nothing like early morning air and a good tail wind....The pic was taken at Atco New Jersey at one of the national events
Same bike a couple years earlier, ridden on the street and raced every weekend. Fastest "L" model you will probably ever see

Ride it, race it
Hey BadBillyB,
I like your ride it, race it days. I was doing the same thing in the early 90's but with a Chevy Monza.
I only had to ask for a ride home once.1982 GS1100G- road bike
