    They bigger they are, the harder they fall.
    Broke the crank at about 155. Fortunately the rear tire never locked up and my wife got it stopped with both tires on the ground. It bent the motor plate and damaged the frame.

        Is that one of the unusual 2.5 cylinders? I heard they run great right before they puke th 1.5 extra cylinders.
        I've been pretty lucky and not broke anything near that spectacularly. Of course my stuff isn't that spectacular to start with!

          WOW!!! I have been drag racing GSs since 1977 & NEVER seen anything , short of a Nitro motor, kill itself that GOOD!!!! Holy CRAP!!! Were YOU as amazed at seeing this as I am?!!! Got spares? Call me at 714--356-7845 if I can help. Nice block it killed too. Ray.

            Thanks for the offer....back together now. Block needed a new sleeve, replaced crank with Falicon billet unit, 4 new pistons, 16 valves and had local chassis shop replace upright in the frame that got twisted.
            I've seen a few pretty close but not as bad as this. The guy she was racing got hit in the helmet from pieces flying off the bike.

                So did the welds let go on the crank, cause that looks like a clean break ??


                Is that another crack on the main weld too ?

                  nope check out the inner bearing race. it is missing on the top from 10'o-clock to 2'o clock
