because there are probably quite a few members here who havent seen the race yet and did not want to know the race result.
the original thread was just to give you guys a heads up that it was a Saturday race and then it progressed to Lorenzo's misfortune.
if i was going to post results i would have put in big bold letters "race result spoiler", then people who do not wish to know the result, know not to look.

I haven't seen the race yet, and you can bet US news doesn't cover motoGP... It is very easy to ignore the results until I can watch it, simply don't go to the motorcycle news websites... Don't feel bad one of my friends already spoiled it for me.

I record it with my DVR and can watch it whenever... Finding it for free on the web is very hard, Dorna is very protective of it.

Don't know about France, but here in the States, the race was covered by speedtv. Speed however isn't covering WSBK this year

I wanted to watch it last night but had other plans during the time Speed had it on for replay.

I am not a fan of Jorge Lorenzo but my opinion of him has increased tremendously after this weekend. To even think of racing 36 hours after surgery is almost unthinkable. He showed unbelievable strength by racing and to finish in fifth place was incredible.

Of course it was great to see Rossi win. Hopefully this will boost his confidence and run near the front regularly for the remainder of the season.

                        Thanks,
                        Joe

This is how I found out before watching the race. My DVR caught the replay sometime during the weekend. Whatever was on immediately before the replay had a ticker at the bottom summarising recent sporting events, and the last thing it said was that Rossi had won. I could do without Speed and their amazing talent for being in commercials during important action. Even for the replay.

i would go mad if that happened to me. if i cant watch any race live then i dont listen to radio, watch any other programs that may give away the results or go on any forums that would give it away. thats why i always put "spoiler" in the title so you know to avoid reading it

Lorenzo crashed out again in FP today, bent the plate in his collar bone. he is doubtful to race this weekend
