Well, don't fret about it. It is not like they are taking a sawzall to your breastplate and and wiring you back together after grafting veins from your legs to bypass.
Just mention the allergies to the surgical team to let them know, and they can add medication for that.
Get up and walk as soon as you can, it will hurt...you will not want to do it.
Much like the military though, they never said you were gonna like it...they just said you gotta do it.
Make it your victory over the pain, make the pain your companion, not your enemy.
All pain fades away, it is the victory that remains.

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

Great news! You'll be better than new again in no time. Now take it easy for a while so that your body can catch up to you.

Thanks guys for all the support. You know me I have to set records. I beat the earliest discharge time by one day. The earliest my surgeon has released anyone for my type of surgery was 4 days. I was released in 3. I went to see my Doc yesterday which is 8 days after surgery and he told me the I am as good as most are after 3 weeks. I can make my (spreometer) I think that is what it called go to 2900 it tops out at 4000 and I did a 1/3 mile walk yesterday and am going to try for a 1/2 mile today. In all fairness most people that get this done are in there 70's and I am only 55. But I just have to be the best at everything I do. He still won't let me drive for a month because I can't control how long it takes my bone to grow back together. But everything I can control I will excel at. I want to be back to work on Monday the 5th of January and racing by mid March. Those are my goals.
Again thank you all for your prayers and support. My stable
