Yeah I don’t get it Ed. And Suzuki is going to have to break a contract with Motogp that was to see them committing until 2026…that won’t be cheap. But it looks like the board is looking for ways to save money big time. They pulled cars out of North America in 2014 and I hear a vicious rumour that they could do the same with motorcycles. No signature :(

Well MotoGP is Huge in Europe, not much in USA. Maybe not much in Asia either?
Ducati is serious about MotoGP because they are European. Why is BMW not in MotoGP?
All the Japanese bike factories have more money than Ducati, but are spending way less.
Kawasaki dropped out, Suzuki is saying goodby. Honda and Yamaha seem apathetic about R & D, because only 2 superstars can win on their bikes.
Seems manufacturers get much more exposure in superbike racing, for the money invested.
When a wise buyer shops for a performance bike, they consider superbike race results. MotoGP bikes have nothing to do with factory street bikes.
Looks like superbikes are rare on Asian streets, I see only small displacement bikes there.Last edited by Buffalo Bill; 05-04-2022, 05:38 PM.1982 GS1100G- road bike
