I had some of that expandable foam setting on my work bench and thought it couldn't hurt anything. I dilled a hole in the bottom of the mirror housing, where it wouldn't be noticed and filled the housing with the foam. Quite a bit came back out of the holes when it expanded and some even came out around the glass. Now there isn't any more rattle and the glass isn't getting ruined.

Rattling Mirrors
The Mirrors B.B. have some metal weights that are suppose to be glued to the back of the glass to prevent vibration. Well, they both came loose and were rolling around inside the mirror housing. Not only did they make a lot of noise, but they stated to scratch the chrome off the back of the mirrors. This really frustrated me.
